Popped in for dinner on a rainy evening. The place is very nice inside, decorated really well. Love the marble tables & flowers in vases, candlelights. We shared an order of spring rolls, five smaller ones. Good not amazing. They suggest spiciness level on a 1-10, we were at a 3 on the papaya salad but it was fairly spicy, more like a '5' or medium. Very good, fresh & bright, complimented our other choices really well. We also shared some yellow curry with chicken, requested medium spicy, but it tasted more 'mild' spice level. It has onions, a few potato chunks & some tender carrot chunks; we had chicken in it too. Rice bowl that came with it was very small, not really enough to go with the amount of curry provided, but as we were going for a lighter dinner, it worked for us. Normally I would have requested more. Service was pretty good but not very friendly. Food presentation is very pretty.

8 out of 5 stars!!!!!!! 1. Finn was F****** AMAZING. Some of the BEST vibes and service I have ever been given at a restaurant. He was attentive, awesome, kind, respectful, and made the dinner experience not only pleasant, but the perfect one. The food was absolutely amazing and I purposely ordered seven dishes. And seven out of seven of the dishes were phenomenal. Not only is it located in Ocean Beach, which is near the actual beach. It is literally the best Thai food in the location. The vibe and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful and seems like it should be something in Downtown and North Park, regardless, this place is amazing, and I highly recommend anyone to go to it

Social Thai Kitchen is one of my top Thai restaurants in SD right now. It's a nice, inviting atmosphere - perfect for a dinner date. There is convenient parking in the back, and the restaurant is very clean. The service is good, and the waiters don't make you wait long and have good menu recommendations. The food is delicious! The Pad See Ew noodles are comforting and flavorful - the perfect balance of sweet and savory sauce. The Three Flavor Fish tastes amazing and goes perfectly with the crispy basil garnish. The appetizers we had were crispy with sweet tangy sauces that complement them well. (I would avoid the Crying Tiger Steak - weak flavors and hard to chew).

After having seen the open ceiling cave in Sunset Cliffs, we decided to get a late lunch nearby and luckily found this when a restaurant we originally were going to was temporarily closed. The restaurant is located on a pretty busy street, so I felt lucky we were able to find parking so close. When you enter, you can see the modern touches of marble and gray throughout the restaurant, seating was quite comfortable and the restrooms were large. We split everything and ordered a papaya salad with added shrimp, massaman curry with beef, a Thai tea, and a mango sticky rice for dessert. I'm always nervous about ordering the spicy level too high, so we opted for a 6/10 for both dishes (full disclosure: I enjoy spicy foods, so my tolerance is quite high) and asked for the dry chilis on the side. The papaya salad and Thai tea came out first and that did not disappoint. I always feel like papaya salad is spicier than you think - but the combination of the freshness of the papaya and other veggies mixed with the sauce was perfect. The massaman curry was quite flavorful - felt less spicy so added some dry chilis to kick up the spiciness of the dish. Plenty of meat and plenty of flavor. A perfect amount for the two of us to split. The mango with sticky rice was delicious. The mango was actually at the ripeness I prefer - slightly sour with sweetness, that step right before it's fully sweet. The combo with the warm rice and sauce was a perfect end to our meal. Throughout our meal, there happened to initially be one server - but he was overall quite attentive considering that he had 3 tables total at the time that we were there. When we were provided the check, a second server came by to take our payment - good service overall. Overall great options! And definitely recommend if you're ever in the area.

This is my second visit in a month and it just keeps getting better. Today we ordered the chicken satay appetizer and my friend and I shared the Chi Chi Seabass with red curry sauce, and my daughter had the drunken noodles. The portion sizes here are incredible for the price. I haven't found any restaurant that can even compare with the quality and the quantity that you receive at such reasonable prices and such a beautiful setting. This place also does an amazing takeout business which is next-door to the beautiful dining area. The owner's nephew took our order and served our food and he was absolutely delightful. My daughter and I both ordered the Thai iced tea which is such a treat and very beautiful to look at. Everything is done impeccably here and I would give this place as many stars as possible. It is a woman owned business and I want the owner to succeed. She is an excellent worker.

Stopped in for lunch today. Such a cute little restaurant close to the beach. Elegantly decorated. Fresh flowers on the table and pretty fine china. Staff very friendly and attentive to our needs. We ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken and Yellow chicken curry with rice. Spice level 4. The food was delicious and fresh. Hubby said he could have probably gone up 2 more spice levels. Thanks yelp for the free Thai tea for checking in. Their boba was the freshest I've had in a long time. If you are in the OB area stop by this place to have a bite. You won't be disappointed.

I was craving some boat noodles and this place really hit the spot. I ordered their maximum spicy and it was sufficiently spicy for spicy food lovers. All of the meat was nice and tender - and the noodles perfectly cooked with excellent texture. The broth was excellent (though a bit thin compared to your usual boat noodles). The thai iced tea with boba was also great - the boba had a great chewy and wasn't very soggy. The location was modern and felt a bit upscale (though the prices are affordable): I came in after going on a run and felt pretty under dressed. The service was also excellent: very kind and frequently came over to refill water. The food order is also sent to the kitchen really quickly: I had misspoken and ordered the wrong dish - and the waiter needed to quickly run over to the kitchen to stop the order. The boat noodles arrived to my table quickly, reflecting that prompt kitchen turnaround time. Overall, I'd highly recommend this location to everyone. The main critique I had was that the background music was playing Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore" on repeat. It's possibly I came at an hour where the music settings were messed up.
